Sweet Communion w/the Holy Spirit

SWEET COMMUNION WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

So he answered and said to me:“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:

‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’Says the Lord of hosts. (Zech. 4:6)

We have this power; we have this faith for His name’s sake.

We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be obedient to the faith.

When we are obedient to the faith power flows from us. (Zechariah 4:6)

Our new spiritual state has everything to do with the Holy Spirit operating through us for His name’s sake.

I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.

(I John 2:12)

Confirmation and foundation scriptures that prove we have a calling that is worthy of God presence and it has everything to do with our obedience to the faith and our complete submission to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; (Romans 1:1-6)

Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (II Thess. 1:11-12)

Your light is shining and you are the salt of this earth for Him for His glory.

(Matt. 5:16) (John 15:16)

Our daily routine – specifically the first hours of the morning have everything to do with our spiritual success and supernatural growth.

Ø Get up and pray.

Ø Seek God’s face.

Ø Pray in the Spirit.

Ø Connect with God first thing.

Ø Make it personal.

Ø Allow His voice to be first.

Ø Ask for His wisdom and thank Him in advance for it.

This is a spiritual life we are now living. (I Tim. 4:8)

(Throw in some exercise as well -😊)

The words of Jesus are Spirit and they are life. (John 6:63)

The body without the Spirit is dead. (James 2:26)

As born again believers we have a hidden treasure on the inside of us…

a vital force… the spirit of intelligence. Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. It’s important for us to value the wisdom of God and be mindful of substitutes.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. (II Cor. 4:7)

But there is [a vital force] a spirit [of intelligence] in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives men understanding. (Job 32:8 AMPC)

My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; (Prov. 2:1-7)

It is our communion with the Holy Spirit that makes us spiritual… this communion is sweet and manifest the kingdom of God through us – peace, love, joy in the Holy Spirit. (It is not how long we have been in the church - it is a demonstration of His fruit and His Spirit.)

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. (II Cor. 13:14)

We can have communion with Jesus all day long – every second – every minute – every hour by His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, Who lives in us. This act of communion is greater and will never become a religious act.

You do not have to ever be weary, depressed, hopeless, troubled, lost or confused sitting right in the church or the building with sweet communion with the Holy Spirit.

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] (John 14:26 AMPC)

You are a diamond.* You are crowned with God’s favor. You are covered with Jesus’ precious blood. Your Maker is your Husband. He is the Father to the fatherless. God’s love has been placed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. This is how special we are and priviledged to have this sweet communion with the Spirit of God.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Rom. 5:4-5)

We cultivate our relationship with the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.

Our integrity and character has everything to do with our manifestation and our increase of faith and power. Our faith must be proven and tried by our integrity.

... by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Fruitful Growth in the Faith

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Pet. 1:4-11)

Time to get back to the basics - the foundational teachings of Jesus.

What about the Be-atitudes instead of soulish attitudes? (Matt. 5:1-12)

And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful,For they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Believers Are Salt and Light

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. (Matt. 5:1-13)

Prayer in the Spirit builds us up in our most holy faith. (Jude 1:20)

Ø The Holy Spirit will help with the practical things if you ask Him. Ask Him and He will help – from what to wear, where to go, help to remember something -:), what to cook that is healthy (what to remove that is not), and what is causing something that is contrary to God’s promises to keep resurfacing... just to name a few.

Ø When you pray in the Spirit - He will cause everything and everyone to line up according to divine alignment according to the will of God concerning every area of your life. He perfects those things that concern you.... everything!

Ø “I declare your home is a haven of peace from this day forward in Jesus name!”

The Holy Spirit helps us to discern between good and evil.

By the power of the Holy Spirit we have authority over every manifestation of the devil and over all demonic forces or activity. We have the power, confidence, and boldness by the power of God to bind; to rebuke; to cast out; to command in one word; to drive out; to evict; and to say, “Come out!” in the name of Jesus.

Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. (Luke 9:1-2, 6)

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

(Luke 10:18-20)

Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. (Matt. 15:30-31)

Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” But Jesus rebuked him, saying,“Be quiet, and come out of him!” (Mark 1:22-25)

There are some things God will reveal to the pure in heart that comes directly from Him.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” (Luke 10:21-22)

The Spirit of God was the same spirit that was upon the body of Elijah and was transferred to Elisha.

  • The spirit of Elijah was on Elisha and when a dead man’s body was put in Elisha’s tomb the man came back to life.

This is simply a reminder that the power of God in us as born again believers - is the Spirit of the Lord, it is the anointing - it is power - it is powerful!!! It raised the dead... it raised us to this new life.

Then Elisha died, and they buried him. And the raiding bands from Moab invaded the land in the spring of the year. So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet. (2 Kings 13:21)

“You are exactly where you are supposed to be right now in your life". God is calling you to yet another level of intimacy with Him - by His Spirit. He desires to make good His word, His covenant, His promise through you. For His names sake. We have been given the precious promised Holy Spirit - that God be glorified. We can not fail because success is all a part of His plan. Be patient with yourself and keep using your faith to move forward. Many people are awaiting to see Him through you... for His names sake. TLW

"For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God". (Romans 8:19)
