God always intended to be our Provider from the very beginning. In Eden, every need was already met. Everything we could possibly need, we had. And now, as believers, we have the Spirit of God within us, and He does not want us toiling. He does not want us in bondage. He does not want us to live with limitations. There should be no limitations, no bondage in our lives. We should be experiencing the fullness of God’s blessings.
The blessing of God is here for us. And that’s not a put-down; it’s God saying, "I love you, and I want you to walk in my abundance." We heard it in the song, and we heard it in His Word. His Word is love. His Word is life. And we should be prospering—not just spiritually, but in every area of our lives: soul, body, finances, relationships, and mental health.
Launch Out into the Deep
Let's dive into Luke 5, starting with verse 1:
"So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, ‘Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.’"
Right there, God is telling us something: "I need you all to go to the next level. I need you to step out of your comfort zone. Trust me."Trust Him. Lean on Him. Believe in Him. He is Jehovah Jireh, your provider. He has already met your every need—not just financially, but in every area of your life. By His Son, Jesus, we have been healed—spirit, soul, body, financially, mentally, relationally.
Nevertheless—Trusting in His Word
Verse 5 says:
"But Simon answered and said to Him, ‘Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.’"
Today’s message is titled "Nevertheless."
Nevertheless—regardless of your circumstances, regardless of what you see, regardless of how you feel, regardless of the doctor’s report, regardless of how people are acting, regardless of what they say, regardless of past failures or rejection—you must say to God, "Nevertheless, at Your word, I will stand."
When we truly understand the Word—who the Word is, how the Word operates, how powerful it is—we will trust it completely. If we fall in love with the Word of God, we will see how it changes our lives. God sent His Word, He sent His Son, so we could be saved.
The Power of the Word
John 1:1 says:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
Hallelujah! Nevertheless, at His Word, I will stand!
We must walk by faith and not by sight. We must stay in faith, keep our eyes on God’s promises, and refuse to be moved by our circumstances. Look at Mark 11. We must speak the Word, declare the Word, and live by the Word. The Word is our life. It heals, delivers, and sets us free. It empowers us.
Stand Firm in Faith
So today, whatever is happening in your life, tell your situation:
"Nevertheless, at Your Word, Lord, I will stand."
Trust God. Stand firm. Stay in His Word.
Amen and Amen!
Continued love and blessings. TLW
